Google announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) that Google Assistant will be coming to all the devices having Marshmallow and above operating systems.
As of last week, it was said that it will be rolled out to US, UK, Germany, Canada and then gradually to rest of the world. Thankfully today I checked my phone OnePlus 2 and came to know that it can be enabled by some small changes in settings.
How to Enable It?
Here is the step by step guide to enable Google Assistant on OnePlus 2
- Go to Play Store and update Google Play Services or download latest beta from here
- Update Google app to the latest version from Play Store.
- Open your phone “Settings -> Language & Input” Select Language as “English (United States)”
- Then long press your home key to enable Google Assistant

If the Assistant does not turn on then, clear cache and data of your Google app and restart your device. Apart from that you can try on other device other than OnePlus 2 and comment if it works or doesn’t work
